Susan has been chosen as the winner of The People's Choice Award for her painting titled "Headin' Back" in the 13th Annual Rio Brazos Art Exhibition of 2009.

Susan's painting titled "Headin' Back" has been accepted into the 2009 13th Annual Rio Brazos Art Exhibition and Sale slated for October 11-25, 2009 at the Tarleton State University's Dora Lee Langdon Center in Granbury, Texas.

Susan G. Ford is a an Associate Member of the Oil Painters of America.  She has also participated in many shows including the 2007 Bosque Conservatory Art Classic.

Susan has participated in the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum's 2007 Prix de West Academy of Western Art workshop instructed by today's great contemporary western artists, Martin Grelle and Bruce Greene.  She also attended the 2008 Academy of Western Art workshop as well, instructed by famed artist, Craig Tennant.

Susan was Instructor for the 2008 Children's Summer Art Camp conducted by the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.
